B. A. Binns is the pseudonym of Barbara Binns, a Chicago Area author. She calls herself a joiner, and proves that by her membership in Chicago North RWA (Romance Writers of America), YA RWA, WisRWA, the Chicago Writers Association, SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) and YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association). This 2009 Golden Heart finalist writes to attract and inspire both male and female readers with stories of “real boys growing into real men…and the people who love them.”

B. A. is the YA genre-ista of the Romancing the Genres group blog, http://romancingthegenres.blogspot.com. Her favorite quote – “Easy reading is damned hard writing.”

PULL, her debut YA novel, tells the story of a young man’s journey from guilt and the fear that biology forces him to repeat his father’s violence, to the realization that his future is in his own hands. Published by WestSide Books in 2010, PULL is the winner of both the 2009 Golden Rose and the 2009 Finally A Bride contests in the YA category. PULL is also a finalist in the 2010 National Readers Choice Award.
