Julia Quinn’s Top Five Reasons Why It’s Good to Be a Romance Writer
You get to go to work in your sweatpants.
The advantages here are obvious. Think of the money you can save on pantyhose alone! Not to mention the comfort factor.

I have a lot of writing friends who say things like “I had wanted my plot to go one way, but my characters wouldn't allow it.” My reaction to this is always, “Huh?”
My characters know who’s boss. Me. (Okay, now I’m starting to scare myself. I shall repeat ad nauseam: “My characters are not real people. My characters are not real people. . .”)

There is no three.
(See what I mean about being Queen of the World?)

Of course, every now and then, someone completely outdoes you, because let’s face it, there are lots of people out there with more unique jobs than romance writing.

It happens.
Happy endings, happy endings, happy endings!
